MemoriMe is a time capsule app for iOS. You seal a memory today — a voice note, photo, written note, or video — and choose a date in the future to open it. On that day, we'll remind you it's ready. You can keep capsules for yourself or send them to someone you love.

Tap "Seal a new capsule" on the home screen, give it a title, choose a format (voice, photo, note, or video), record or write your memory, then choose when it opens — one year from today, five years, or a specific date. That's it. MemoriMe captures your location and weather automatically as ambient context.

Voice memo, photo, written note, combo (voice + photo), video (up to 60 seconds), and video + note. Free accounts can use text and photo. Basic adds voice memos. Premium unlocks video and the ability to send capsules to others.

On the date you chose when sealing it. We'll send you a notification that day. The capsule will appear as "Ready to open" on your home screen — tap it to reveal what you sealed.

No. That's intentional. Part of what makes MemoriMe meaningful is the commitment — you sealed it for a reason. If you want to delete a capsule, you can do that from the home screen with a long press, but you can't open it before its time.

Yes — with a Premium subscription. After sealing a capsule, tap "Send to someone" and enter their Apple ID email address. They'll receive a notification on the unlock date when their capsule is ready to open. You can also send them a heads-up text message right away so they know to expect it.

They need MemoriMe installed on their iPhone and the app associated with the Apple ID email you used when sending. The app is free to download — they don't need a paid subscription to receive and open a capsule sent to them.

Yes — as long as the recipient hasn't opened it yet. From the SealedView screen immediately after sending, tap "Recall this capsule" to permanently delete it before it reaches them. Once opened, it cannot be recalled.

Social media memories are chosen by an algorithm — surfaced when the platform decides, based on engagement data, not meaning. MemoriMe is built on intention. You choose what to preserve. You choose when to open it. Nothing is public. Nothing is optimized for likes. It's a letter you wrote to yourself, not a notification someone else decided to send you.

Completely. Your capsules are stored on your device and never shared publicly. We can't read them. There are no feeds, no followers, no comments. Just you and the memory you chose to seal.

When you scroll past a social media memory, it's easy to dismiss it. When you sealed something specifically for your future self — chose the words, chose the date, chose to wait — opening it carries weight. MemoriMe is designed for moments that deserve more than a casual scroll.

Capsules you keep for yourself are stored locally on your device. They never leave your phone unless you choose to send one to someone else, in which case it's stored in Apple's CloudKit infrastructure — not on our servers.

No. We don't have access to your capsule contents — not locally stored ones, and not CloudKit-stored ones. Your memories are yours.

Your capsules will be deleted along with the app since they're stored locally on your device. We recommend backing up your device regularly via iCloud or iTunes to protect your data.

We'll do everything we can to give you at least 30 days notice if we ever cease operations, so you have time to retrieve what you can. Capsules stored locally on your device will remain there as long as you have the app installed. Capsules sent to others via CloudKit may become inaccessible. We take this responsibility seriously — it's addressed in full in our Terms of Service.

Basic ($2.99/mo): 5 capsules per month, adds voice memo format.

Go to your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → MemoriMe. You can cancel, upgrade, or downgrade there at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period.

No — the monthly capsule count resets at the start of each month. This applies to Free and Basic tiers. Premium is unlimited so rollover doesn't apply.
